Ambutech High Mileage Roller Ball Cane Tip
Ambutech High Mileage Roller Ball Cane Tip — $16.69, in stock at Low Vision Supply · Blind pick for constant-contact travelers — a 2-inch nylon ball that rolls instead of dragging, so your sweep never catches on sidewalk cracks.
Hook-on style (fits Ambutech canes), nylon body with a shielded stainless-steel bearing that keeps grit out. It's built for the constant-contact technique: the ball's larger contact area delivers steadier feedback about texture, slope, and surface changes than a pencil tip, and the rolling action means fewer jarring stops on rough pavement.
Tip math for buyers: pencil and marshmallow tips are lighter and better for two-point-touch technique; roller balls are for constant contact and real distance. The premium sibling, the Pathfinder 360, rolls in every direction — this High Mileage ball is the value pick in the same family. Replace any tip when the ball stops rolling freely or the nylon wears flat; a $17 tip protects a $40 cane.
