Sony ICD-UX570 Digital Voice Recorder
Sony ICD-UX570 Digital Voice Recorder (Sony) — ~$100 (seen Oct 2026)
A shirt-pocket recorder that steps up from the PX370 with a more sensitive S-microphone for picking up speech across a room, stereo recording, and voice-activated recording for hands-free capture. Why it works without sight: it records with one press, marks important moments with a physical cue-marker button mid-recording, and plugs its own body straight into a computer's USB port — no cable to find and fumble. Honest caveat: it's slim with flatter buttons than the chunkier PX370, so the PX370 is the easier pick for finding controls by touch alone; also, its battery is built-in rechargeable rather than swappable AAAs.
