Sony ICD-PX370 Digital Voice Recorder
Sony ICD-PX370 Digital Voice Recorder (Sony) — ~$75 (seen Oct 2026)
The PX370 is the workhorse recorder for voice memos, meetings, and lectures: one-touch recording starts a take from a single physical button, voice-activated recording kicks in only when it hears sound, and a built-in speaker lets you play memos back without plugging anything in. Why it works without sight: the core controls are big, distinct, raised buttons (record, stop, play, volume, track mark) you can learn by touch in one sitting, and files are saved with date-and-time names so they're findable on a computer later. Honest caveat: the deeper menu settings (scene presets, mic sensitivity) are screen-based, so the first setup is easiest with a sighted helper; day-to-day record, play, and delete are all tactile.
