Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus

The verdict

This is Ring's wired floodlight camera: 1080p HD video, motion-activated floodlights, color night vision, two-way talk, and a built-in siren, all powered by a wired connection to your home's electrical box. It connects over dual-band Wi-Fi and works with Alexa for announcements and live views.

Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus — about $89.99 at Amazon · ≈4.7★ from over 42,000 ratings · a hardwired outdoor camera with motion-activated floodlights, two-way talk, and a siren, for lighting and watching a driveway or yard.

Live view and motion alerts work without a subscription; recorded clips and clip history require a Ring Protect plan.

Blind details

For a blind shopper, the buying questions are about installation and ongoing cost, not picture quality you cannot check yourself. This camera must be hardwired, so unless you are comfortable with electrical work, budget for an electrician — that is the real total cost. Before ordering, listen for reviews about motion-alert reliability and about the subscription: without Ring Protect (from $3.99 a month for one device), you get live views and alerts but no saved clips to review after the fact.

Support: Reachable — Ring publishes 1-800-656-1918 for US customers on ring.com.

Honest caveats: the $89.99 price is a recent Amazon sale figure against a $179.99 list price, and it may be higher when you check. There is no local storage option, so recordings live entirely in Ring's cloud behind the subscription. Video detail at distance is a recurring reviewer complaint — faces and plates can blur — and some owners report slow app response times.
