Lasko 1500W Ceramic Space Heater
Lasko 1500W Ceramic Space Heater — about $60–90 depending on model · ≈4.4★ · Blind pick for spot heat — a dial for heat, a dial for fan, and tip-over plus overheat protection that doesn't need your eyes to work.
The blind-shopper angle: choose the model with two big rotary dials (heat, fan-only, off) — no digital panel to read, and the dials click through detents you can count. Ceramic elements run cooler to the touch than old coil heaters, and tip-over shutoff is automatic. The safety rules that matter more without sight: three feet of clearance all around, plug directly into the wall (never a power strip), and give it a permanent floor spot you never trip over.
Versus oil-filled radiators (slower, heavier, silent) — ceramic is faster and lighter for one-room heat. The Lasko cyclonic model (about $90) throws heat wider; the basic tower is the value pick for a bedroom or office.
