Govee Smart Light Bulbs (4-Pack, 1200-Lumen)
Govee Smart Bulbs, 4-pack (1200-lumen) — about $65 · ≈4.6★ · Blind pick — screw in like any bulb, then never touch a switch again: 'Alexa, turn on the living room' does it.
The blind-shopper angle: voice control is the whole point — brightness and color by voice, schedules in the Govee app (usable with VoiceOver) so lights turn themselves on at sunset. The 1200-lumen brightness matters for low-vision households; the RGB color is a bonus for sighted family. They work with Alexa and Google, no hub needed. What to listen for in reviews: they need 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not 5GHz — the app walks you through it, but know your network name before you start.
Versus Philips Hue (better app, needs a $60 hub, three times the price) — Govee is the value pick for voice-first lighting. Start with one room, not the whole house, and expand once the routine sticks.
