Google Nest Doorbell (Battery)

The verdict

Three hours of event history come free with no subscription — unusual in this category and worth noting. Installation is the same story as every battery doorbell: physical mounting needs sighted help once, then it's voice and phone.

Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) — about $120–$180 · ≈4.5★ — and here's the honest blind-shopper read: this is the doorbell for the AI-descriptions crowd. Google's event announcements tell you “person at the front door” versus “package delivered” — the difference between ignoring the chime and getting up, delivered as audio you don't have to interpret.

Shopper math: $180 versus the Blink Video Doorbell (already in this catalog) at a fraction of that. You're paying for the smarter announcements and the free event history. One honest friction: it's another battery to charge on a schedule — if your door already has wiring, the wired Nest Doorbell skips that chore forever.
