Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier
The verdict
The air-quality LED is visual-only, and the page says so honestly — but the audible fan-speed change when it kicks up is the real signal, and the filter light plus the calendar are the maintenance routine. No app, no voice control on this base model: it is a set-it-and-forget-it machine, which is a feature, not a gap, for buyers who do not want another app.
Coway Airmega AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier — about $229.99 (price moves; $200.99 seen October 24) · ≈4.6/5 from 29,229 ratings · the blind-shopper win is auto mode: set it once and the unit adjusts itself by air quality, with a filter-change light so there is no schedule to track.

Blind details
For a blind shopper, the checks are auto mode, the fan sound as a signal, and the filter bill: about $59.79 a year for filter sets, which matters more than the sticker price. The non-smart distinction matters too — the AP-1512HHS variant adds Wi-Fi and Alexa for about $70 more.
Honest caveats: the base model cannot be voice-controlled, the LED is useless without sight, and the price moves — $200.99 to $229.99 across late October — so check before ordering. As of October 2026 the price was $229.99.
