Ambutech Aluminum Folding White Cane with Marshmallow Tip
Ambutech Aluminum Folding White Cane (Ambutech) — ~$39.95 (seen Oct 2026)
The classic first cane: heavy-gauge aluminum, golf-style rubber grip, stationary marshmallow tip — the setup most orientation-and-mobility instructors teach on. Aluminum is heavier and transmits less fine texture than graphite, but it's tougher in the ways that matter to beginners and it costs far less. Available in fifteen lengths from 36 to 64 inches, so getting the right size is easy; as a rule of thumb, a mobility cane should reach roughly your sternum to chin.
