Shark Stratos Cordless Vacuum IZ862H

The verdict

The Stratos cordless (model IZ862H) pairs Shark's DuoClean floorhead — a soft roller plus bristle brushroll in one head — with Clean Sense IQ, which senses dirt levels and adjusts suction automatically, plus an odor-neutralizing cartridge and sealed HEPA filtration. The MultiFlex wand bends so the vacuum reaches under furniture without crouching, and it converts to a handheld for stairs and upholstery.

Shark Stratos Cordless Vacuum IZ862H — about $330 at Amazon · 4.6★ · Mainstream pick — Shark's most powerful cordless stick vacuum, with a DuoClean floorhead, Clean Sense IQ dirt detection, and a 60-minute runtime.

Independent testers rated it the best cordless vacuum for both hard floors and carpets in 2025.

Blind details

For a blind shopper, buy on the cleaning logic, not the display: Clean Sense IQ does the thinking for you, boosting suction when it senses more dirt, so you do not have to judge floor dirt by sight or read a screen. Before ordering, listen for reviews that mention the weight — at 8.9 pounds this is one of the heaviest cordless sticks, and that matters more than suction numbers if you carry it up stairs daily. Also confirm the model number IZ862H in the listing, since Shark sells several Stratos variants with different tools.

Honest caveats: The 60-minute runtime is the low-power figure; Boost mode drains the battery far faster. The vacuum's dirt display and LED indicators are visual, so a blind user should judge cleaning by the sound change when Clean Sense IQ ramps up, not by the screen. The odor-neutralizer cartridge is a consumable that needs replacing. At 8.9 pounds, shoppers with limited arm strength should weigh it against a lighter stick like Shark's own Navigator range.
